Well I’m glad the Tribe waited until I rescinded my membership of fanhood from the team to start playing respectable baseball.  Good for them.  Here are my thoughts:

• Aaron Laffey going eight strong for the kids over at Jacobs Progressive Field.  Don’t get your hopes up too high, he had a real dominant streak at the beginning of last year.  Encouraging, nonetheless.
• Really looks like Grady Sizemore’s elbow is feelin’ good, huh?  One hopping a routine cutoff throw isn’t exactly what you want your centerfielder doing.  SHUT HIM DOWN.
• What happened to Francisco Liriano?  He was the second coming to Johan Santana at one point.  At least that’s what the Wookster said.
• Adam Miller is having another finger surgery and hopes to be ready for spring training next year.  I wouldn’t hold your breath on that.  On a semi related note, we could’ve traded him for Mark Teixeira two years ago.  Just saying.

The Tribe remains 11 1/2 out, but unfortunately everyone ahead of them (except the Twins, obviously) keeps winning.  Oh yeah and they drastically improved their teams.

So I wouldn’t be keeping your eyes on the standings hoping for a run.
