Bleacher Report took it upon themselves to compare Division 1 CFB coaches to their “LOST” counterparts.  Of course, Jim Tressel is compared to my least favorite character, Jack Shepherd.

You see, I hate Jack Shepherd on this show.  He’s always trying to take it upon himself to fix everything, and he pretty much messes everything up.

He acts like a little b**** when it comes to Kate, and Sawyer famously put him in his place when Jack came back to 1977, pretty much telling him he is reactive, rather than proactive.  And his lack of “proactivness” often leads to disastrous results.

Now that I think about it, Bleacher Report might have it right.  In the BCS Championship game in ‘07 against Florida, it didn’t exactly seem like he had a sufficient game plan in preparation for their fast as lightning defense.

His reactive adjustments to Florida didn’t do a damn thing to stop pressure coming off the edges, and Florida pulled off the huge upset.

The same kind of thing happened against LSU.

I never found myself not liking Jim Tressel, but now that I sort of do.  What OSU does need is CFB’s Desmond counterpart.  You know, can see the future.

Now that’s how you become proactive.

unfortunate situation for the schools but if the voters can afford no more taxes thats just the way it is. being on a fixed income after retiring with no more income coming my way I suggest the schools live within their current budget and not expect anything to pass the voters.

    Learn from Elyria.

    It’s not the buildings.
    It’s not the teachers.
It’s only partially the students (after all, they are trying to learn)
It’s mainly the parents (or lack thereof) and the environment.

You can build the best campus in the world and still receive minimal results. Build it in a ‘lesser valued’ area and you will have people [...]

    Worthless piece of trash.

We need to get our district out of Academic Watch and start educating our kids. That would do wonders for a “WOW” effect. It would help our property values and people would actually want to move here for the schools. This whole complex is putting lipstick on a pig. We’ll have [...]
